Fundamentals of Carpentry, Drywall, Finishing, and Painting
Format: Hybrid (Online theory + Hands-on practice)
Starting Date: August 2025
Duration: 4 weeks, 25 hours per week, plus 50 hours of hands-on experience.
Language: Spanish with technical terms in English
Description: A one-of-a-kind, comprehensive program designed to prepare women for careers in construction. The training includes Blueprint Reading, OSHA 10 Certification, English for Construction, Introduction to Tools and Materials, Measuring and Cutting Techniques, Hands-on Practice with a Variety of Skills and Methods, and more.

Preparation to pass the state exam and obtain your Maryland Home Improvement Contractor (MHIC) License.
Format: Live sessions via Zoom, held in the evenings.
Starting Date: August 2025
Duration: 12 hours
Language: Spanish
Description: A step-by-step approach designed to guide applicants toward successfully passing the state exam and obtaining the MHIC license—delivered with patience, care, and a deep understanding of each student’s circumstances, including after-work fatigue and, in some cases, limited formal education.

Description: This program equips participants with the knowledge, leadership skills, and practical tools needed to manage construction projects from start to finish. Topics include Project planning and scheduling, Budgeting and cost control, Estimating and Invoicing, Contract administration, Introduction to construction software, and more.
