About the creative process: On any given day in December 2021, Edith thought about what message she could send to the Latinas in her group for Christmas. It had to be an inspiring message, to encourage readers when things are not going as well as one would like. A couple of days later while in the kitchen, Edith ran upstairs and took notes of what came from her heart. In a few minutes she wrote El Cambio (The Change) from the beginning to the end. Edith, who had never written a poem before, thinks that it can only be an inspiration from God.
