Virginia Specialty Exams
If you are applying for the VA Class A or Class B General Contractor’s License, you must first pass the following exams: Virginia, General, and Advanced portions for Class A, and Virginia and General portions for Class B. Once you pass these exams, you will submit your application. After your application is reviewed, you will be required to take a specialty exam, available in both English and Spanish. This exam consists of 50 questions specific to your trade or area of work, covering the skills, regulations, and best practices relevant to your specialty.
